Testoviron
(Testosterone Blend &Testosterone Enanthate)
Testoviron is a popular brand name of two distinct testosterone compounds manufactured by Schering. Testoviron is a blend of two testosterone forms, Testosterone Enanthate and Testosterone Propionate. The same Testoviron name also refers to the single ester base Enanthate version, which is by all accounts the most common and popular testosterone product on the market. The Enanthate only version is commonly referred to as Testoviron Depot.
Testoviron products have been available since 1937. When Testoviron first hit the market it was the trade name given to Schering’s Testosterone Propionate compound. This was the first testosterone compound ever made available to the public. Through the 1950’s the Testoviron trade name would be moved to the Testosterone Enanthate and testosterone blend compounds respectively.
Testoviron Blend:
The Testoviron blend contains the small ester based Testosterone Propionate and the large ester based Testosterone Enanthate in a single compound in order to provide the best of both ester sizes in a single injection. This compound is available in three distinct dosing levels:
- 75mg/ml: 20mg Propionate, 55mg Enanthate
- 135mg/ml 25mg Propionate, 110mg Enanthate
- 250mg/ml 50mg Propionate, 200mg Enanthate
By administering this form, you receive an initial burst of testosterone through the Propionate ester, and it continues for an extended period of time due to the Enanthate ester. The idea was originally to provide a testosterone compound that would allow low level patients to inject infrequently, but unfortunately it didn’t work quite as planned. It can be difficult to maintain stable testosterone levels with this form of Testoviron. You receive an initial burst with the Propionate ester, and even the Enanthate version gives a decent burst after the first 48 hours. Testosterone is then continually released but your levels sort of reach an up and down roller coaster each time you inject. For this reason, Testoviron blends are normally best for performance related purposes when frequent injections can be applied. This will enable the individual to maintain stable and peaked blood levels, but it’s not a practice too many low testosterone patients are going to be comfortable with.
Testoviron:
Basic Testoviron is merely a single large ester based testosterone, specifically Testosterone Enanthate. Testoviron or Testoviron Depot comes dosed at 250mg/ml. This is a very common testosterone compound used to treat low testosterone conditions. However, it is not a prescribed brand in the United States. U.S. based physicians will normally prescribe testosterone compounds manufacture by Pfizer, Upjohn or Watson, as well as generically compounded testosterones.
Testoviron is also commonly used among performance enhancing athletes. By all accounts, Testosterone Enanthate is the most commonly used anabolic steroid on earth, and the Testoviron brand is the most common in performance circles. There is an abundant supply of this compound on the black market. Counterfeits do exist, but there are plenty of suppliers that carry true Testoviron. You may very well pay a little more for this brand than many other brands, however, it will still be very affordable and worth the extra money in that it is an excellent product. There may be testosterone compounds that are just as good, but you will not find a better one than Testoviron.
Testoviron Use:
Testoviron can be used to treat low testosterone, provide muscle mass and strength in a bulking cycle, aid in a cutting cycle or to enhance athletic performance. This is a truly versatile anabolic steroid. Those who use Testoviron for the treatment of low testosterone will see all the related symptoms vanish. This isn’t surprising, after all, Testoviron is merely testosterone, the very thing a low level individual is lacking. It may indeed be a synthetic model, but once in the body the body will make no distinguishing difference.
For the performance enhancing athlete, during off-season use with adequate calories he will gain far more muscle mass. More importantly, he will do so with less body fat accumulation that would otherwise occur due to this steroid’s tremendous metabolic increasing capabilities. During the cutting phase, he will burn body fat at a more efficient rate, but more importantly preserve his lean tissue mass. In order to lose body fat, we must be in a caloric deficit, and without a protective agent like Testoviron we will lose some of our muscle tissue. All who supplement with Testoviron will find their muscular endurance and overall rate of recovery is enhanced. When we consider the strength increasing capabilities of Testoviron this is precisely why so many athletes enjoy the compound.
Side Effects of Testoviron:
The side effects of Testoviron largely surround those of an estrogenic and androgenic nature. Those using the compound for low testosterone treatment will normally have no concern. In such cases, an otherwise healthy adult male is merely replacing what he is lacking. For performance purposes, the idea is to take levels above what could ever be obtained naturally, and this is where possible problems can arise.
The estrogenic side effects of Testoviron primarily include gynecomastia and excess water retention. The water retention can also promote high blood pressure if it becomes severe. The use of an anti-estrogen is often recommended. Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERM’s) and Aromatase Inhibitors (AI’s) are your primary choices. AI’s are the most effective. AI’s inhibit the aromatase process. This is the process by which testosterone converts to estrogen. They will also lower the body’s estrogen levels. SERM’s do not possess these traits, however, they will prohibit the estrogen hormone from binding to the receptors by binding in its place. SERM’s should be used if they can get the job done, but often AI’s are needed. Unfortunately, AI’s can have an adverse affect on cholesterol, and you will need to keep a close eye on your levels and put some effort into controlling them if AI’s are used.
Then we have androgenic side effects of Testoviron. These occur due to testosterone’s ability to reduce to dihydrotestosterone through the 5-alpha reductase enzyme. This can lead to acne, hair loss (only in those predispose to male pattern baldness) and body hair growth. The use of a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor such as Finasteride is sometimes advised. It is not always needed, but it can be useful.
